Middle Eastern tourists, how much will Albania miss them? - Zani: Insecurity in the region affects travel to our country

The tense situation in the Middle East is also significantly affecting tourist movements towards Albania. Recent conflicts and attacks have caused flight suspensions and cancellations of reservations, temporarily reducing the interest of tourists from the region.
According to tour operator Fiorida Zani, in recent years, many tourists from Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi have come to Albania to vacation. But according to her, if the war escalates, the decline in tourists will be significant.
"If the war escalates and continues, there will definitely be a contraction, but I want to think positively that the war will not continue and will end very soon. I think by making an agreement because it is not in anyone's interest for this to happen. And it will definitely affect us if it continues, because we have some direct flights coming from Saudi Arabia and we have seen that in recent years there have been a lot of tourists. More come in an unorganized or family way."
But are Albanians' travels to the Middle East still on hold?
"Then, we have suspensions from airlines, from flights. Dubai airports continue, we have postponed tickets for a second moment or we have chosen another date, because we have many clients, we have Indians living in Albania who have chosen to go to visit their families and return again, but this is not becoming possible until the situation is regulated and all airports are opened. Even in Riyadh after the attack that occurred, we had booked some tickets and after two days they were canceled. We hope that this situation will not last long."
