Discover the "mountains" in Klos and Vau e Dejës - 15 priority development areas revealed, full map
The government approved at its last meeting the declaration of several priority areas for the development of the mountain economy in the municipalities of Klos and Vau i Dejës.
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and point 1, Article 4, of Law No. 20/2025, "On the Mountains Package", upon the proposal of the Minister of State for Local Government, the Council of Ministers.
Here is the map of priority areas:
In the territory of the Municipality of Klos there will be:
a) “Vashës–Gujë Bridge”, with an area of 821.22 ha;
b) “Xibër–Murriz”, with an area of 411.72 ha;
c) “Maja Kulbot”, with an area of 7.07 ha;
ç) “Thekna Hill”, with an area of 11.13 ha;
d) “Maja e Balzit”, with an area of 74.22 ha;
dh) “Splaj–Tejlum”, with an area of 193.85 ha;
e) “Zhuri i Arrikut”, with an area of 249.48 ha;
ë) “Bardhë–Bejnë–Cerujë–Patin Plan”, with an area of 6,872.20 ha;
f) “Balgjaj–Suç”, with an area of 1,715.53 ha.
While in the Municipality of Vau i Dejës there will be:
a) “Barbullush” (adm. Bushat), with an area of 41.35 ha;
b) “Drin Valley” (Temal, Shllak and Vau i Dejës), with an area of 7,930.82 ha;
c) “Bushat” (adm. Bushat), with an area of 188.89 ha;
ç) “Shllak” (un. adm. Shllak), with an area of 931.76 ha;
d) “Mnelë” (adm. Vig-Mnelë), with an area of 116.48 ha;
dh) “Nënshat” (adm. Hajmel), with an area of 355.78 ha.
In both municipalities, the new status allows the development of economic, industrial and tourist activities, in areas defined with KRGJSH coordinates and accompanied by the relevant maps.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the State Cadastre Agency and the respective municipalities are responsible for implementing the decisions, while the decisions enter into force after publication in the Official Gazette.
