Tirana, the world insurance center - For the first time, the IAIS Annual Conference. Kaçi: In focus, market stability

The Annual Conference of the International Organization of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), the most important event in the insurance field, is being held for the first time in Tirana.
During the opening of the Conference, the Director of the Financial Supervisory Authority, Mimoza Kaçi, stated that the focus of the discussions will be the advancement and guaranteeing of a more stable insurance market in a time of geo-economic fragmentation.
“Welcome to a country that is opening new chapters in economic development, European integration, artificial intelligence, sustainable tourism and engagement with the global insurance community. This Conference is the largest gathering of insurance supervisors and industry stakeholders. The broad participation from around the world is a historic moment for the Financial Supervisory Authority. Over the next two days, we look forward to starting discussions, sharing knowledge and creating meaningful connections that will help advance the sustainability of the insurance market, an increasingly important topic in an uncertain world like today’s,” said Kaçi.
Representatives from the International Organization of Insurance Supervisors expressed their best impressions of the growing performance of Albania's economy.
Over the course of 2 days, the importance of global cooperation to address urgent socio-economic challenges, such as the impact of extreme weather events and accelerated digital transformation, structural changes in the life insurance sector, and the critical role of insurance in strengthening overall social resilience will be discussed.
This Conference is attended by over 500 high-level representatives from insurance regulatory authorities, the international insurance industry, as well as international financial institutions.
