"The aim is to recruit the best" - Prime Minister Rama presents the platform for job vacancies in the public sector

The government has introduced the new platform puna.gov.al where young people can apply to become part of the Public Administration. Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech, said that this platform creates more transparency and everyone can be informed more easily about vacant positions.
"We open a new window for all those who have the ambition to contribute to the public sector. It creates the opportunity in real time for anyone who aims to contribute to the public sector, not only to have a view of the currently available positions but also to follow how a certain process is going in which he/she is interested. It is an important step because it creates transparency, interaction between the individual in search of an opportunity and the state that needs it and therefore offers these opportunities to be able to recruit the best. On the other hand, it includes for the first time our entire public system in a mirror where all opportunities are exposed," said Rama.
The head of government did not hesitate to express skepticism about the public administration at the moment when Albania was about to open negotiations, but now, according to him, the Albanian administration has gained the respect of the other side.
"The public administration has proven the opposite of many prejudices that have weighed on it over the years. While the perception of the public administration has been burdened by prejudices, which have not arisen in a vacuum, but have been triggered by behavior and actions, acts that have sometimes been publicly exposed in all their ugliness, the administration has nevertheless faced a challenge, a test, an extraordinary exam, representing Albania with maximum dignity throughout the negotiation process. Expressing those assessments, we have reason to feel encouraged that we have the opportunity to build an administration with European standards ," said the Prime Minister.
Minister for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni, said that this initiative is part of a broader package of reforms for the transformation of public administration.
