Subsidies in agriculture/ Denaj: United beekeepers benefit from 100% financial support!
Through the subsidy scheme, the government addresses special support for the development of the beekeeping sector.
In the National Agricultural Support Scheme 2025, beekeeping is supported at a value of 1,000 lek per hive, and beekeepers united in a group of farmers are the first to benefit from 100% financing, with each of them receiving the maximum subsidized amount in a separate account.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, announced new financing instruments to support agriculture and farmers.
"Through the National Investment Scheme, with a 50% grant and support from Soft Loan combined with the Sovereign Guarantee, every farmer can benefit from financing with an interest rate of only 2% and collateral coverage of up to 70%," said Denaj.
Beekeeping is one of the important sectors of the economy, which has had significant development in recent years.
Today, there are about 500,000 beehives throughout the country, where in the last 10 years alone the number of hives has increased by 64%, significantly affecting the level of honey production for the market and for export to countries in the region.
