Flames return to several areas of the country - Dajti at the center of the air operation

Fires continue to keep emergency structures on alert in several regions of the country, while Mount Dajti remains the main point of intervention after the reactivation of fires on both sides of the ridge.
The Ministry of Defense announces that 34 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours, of which 5 remain active and 4 others are under monitoring.
219 operational forces and 35 firefighting vehicles have been deployed to deal with the situation. The Armed Forces have also been involved in the operations with 60 personnel, a helicopter and two Air Tractor aircraft.
In Dajt, where fires have reactivated at several points along the ridge, the operation continues today with the reinforcement of 50 AF personnel, as well as firefighting and ADZM forces. The intervention is also being supported by air with a helicopter and two Air Tractor aircraft. Authorities say there is no danger to residential areas.
In the Dibër district, a hotbed remains active in Ballenjë-Kostenjë, where AZM forces are engaged, while the hotbed in Qafë e Helmës, Bulqizë, is being monitored. There is no reported risk to homes in these areas either.
The situation also requires attention in the Elbasan region, where reactivations have been recorded on Mount Dardhës in Librazhd and Mount Qukës in Prrenjas. Local MZSH structures continue to intervene on the ground, while no risks to residential areas are reported.
Meanwhile, Puka presents a significantly calmer situation. In Gjegjan, Gojan të Vogël, Gojan të Madh, Prozhëm and Tërbun there are no longer any active fires, while the areas continue to be monitored to prevent the reactivation of fires.
The National Civil Protection Agency continues to monitor the situation throughout the territory, in coordination with prefectures, municipalities and Civil Protection structures.
Operational forces remain on alert and engaged in the field, with the priority of protecting the lives, homes and property of citizens.
