Modernization of the “ASYCUDA” customs system - A step towards European integration!
The Director General of Customs, Genti Gazheli, who is conducting a working visit to Switzerland, was received by representatives of UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development), to discuss the latest improvements to the 'ASYCUDA' customs system.
ASYCUDA is a modern and advanced platform used by over 100 countries around the world, including Albania.
"This system helps in faster and more secure processing of customs documents and is an important step in making the customs administration more advanced and ready for membership in the European Union," the announcement reads.
According to the announcement, during the meeting with United Nations representatives, several important topics were discussed, such as adaptation to European rules, increasing transparency and speed in customs procedures, and using technology to better cooperate with other state systems.
The General Directorate of Customs declares that it remains committed to moving step by step with global technological developments, building a modern, transparent and secure administration, in the service of trade and European integration.
