Investment scheme, February 27th deadline for documents - From hail nets, to solar greenhouses and agrotourism. Up to 150 thousand euros in financing

Farmers who have applied for the Investment Scheme will have until February 27, 2026 to submit additional documentation for their file.
Through a joint instruction of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance, the government has set this date as the final deadline, while the previous instruction allowed a period of 60 days after the completion of the application.
The instruction also stipulates that submitting documents beyond February 27, 2026, will disqualify applicants and at this point, only the construction permit document or approval of the works notice/contract related to the MARD, for the development of aquaculture activity for measure 17, which must be submitted before concluding the contract, is excluded.
Applications for the National Agricultural Investment Scheme 2025 closed on September 30, with a total of 801 applications registered for nine support measures aimed at modernizing farms, increasing domestic production, and the sustainable development of rural areas.
Specifically, the highest funding will be provided for the construction of new solar greenhouses for vegetables, strawberries and table grapes, including the installation of an irrigation system, with a minimum area of 0.2 ha and a maximum area of 2 ha.
For this measure, the funding starts from 40 thousand euros per hectare of strawberries up to 150 thousand euros/ha for vegetable production greenhouses or 50% of the total value of tax invoices.
For investments in new plantings of fruit trees, olive trees, citrus trees and vineyards, financing shall be provided for an area of no less than 0.5 ha and no more than 10 ha, the benefit amount reaching up to 8 thousand euros per hectare.
The net for protecting production from hail in existing blocks with fruit trees, citrus trees and vineyards, the benefit amount reaches up to 15 thousand euros/hectare. Financing is to be made for an area of no less than 1 ha and no more than 5 ha.
For drip irrigation systems in existing orchards, olive groves, citrus groves and vineyards, funding reaches up to 2,500 euros/ha.
For the construction of new facilities for animal breeding and poultry raising facilities, funding reaches up to 150 thousand euros per entity.
For the mechanization and modernization of work processes on agricultural and livestock farms, the benefit amount reaches 50 thousand euros per entity.
Support for lines/machinery/equipment for the processing, selection, packaging and labeling of vegetables, fruits, grapes and wine, olives and olive oil amounts to approximately 75 thousand euros per entity.
Support for investments in agritourism will be up to 150 thousand euros per entity and also for marine aquaculture for fish breeding cages.
To benefit from these support measures, the applicant: - must not be a debtor to the AZHBR and the MARD; must not be a debtor to the General Directorate of Taxes, must have paid "social security" in the case of individual farmers; must have owned the land and/or leased/loaned for at least 5 years, starting from the year of application; must have the relevant construction permit according to the legislation in force, before concluding the contract.
Beneficiaries of investment support measures, after signing the contract, are paid in advance up to 30% of the contracted financing amount, against a payment guarantee issued by an insurance company and/or bank, according to the provisions of the contract.
