"Over 50 million euros available for the created situation" - Minister of Finance, Malaj: 15 million euros go to compensation

Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj said that the total value of the flood situation in the country is over 50 million euros, of which 15 million euros go to compensation.
"In the Civil Emergencies program, we have foreseen about 30 million euros, which are divided into capital expenditures for the Civil Emergencies program and are related to the financing of facilities or projects related to the prevention of natural disasters. The value that we have allocated is about 15 million euros. We have also planned the conditional fund, which is about 10 million euros and is a conditional transfer that is managed by the Ministry of Defense and will be distributed to local self-government units according to a methodology based on the risk map that this ministry is carrying out. We also have the reserve fund of the Council of Ministers in the amount of 25 million euros that will be made available depending on the assessments that will be made by the relevant structures. We have the fund for branches and reservoirs and it is related to the financing of projects for the security of dams and reservoirs. This fund is about 5 million euros. The total value goes over 50 million euros that are available for the created situation ," said Malaj.
