Roskovec power plant project - ERE requests additional documents and information from the development company
The Energy Regulatory Authority has requested a series of documents and additional information from the company that will build the private thermal power plant in Roskovec. A few weeks ago, the ERE initiated the procedures for licensing the company in the energy production activity, but the company "Fier Thermoelectric" will have to fulfill the requirements in order to finalize this process.
Thus, the company must file documentation proving that it has secured the necessary financial resources for the full implementation of the TPP project.
It will also have to make the relevant clarifications regarding the number of generating units and the date of commencement of operation, as well as deposit the agreement signed with the Transmission System Operator for the final approval of the connection point.
Also, according to the Regulatory Entity, it appears that the company currently has an Environmental Declaration valid until 13.11.2025, but considering that it has declared that the construction of the TPP will begin in 2025 and since the company has not provided any information regarding the start of the project's implementation on the ground, it is estimated that this information should be requested in the future.
Also, the company must provide information regarding the need or not to equip this TPP with a permit to use the water source to carry out the cooling process.
The Roskovec TPP project was approved by the government in December last year, while the plant with an estimated capacity of 170 MW, which will use gas to produce electricity, will have an operating life of 49 years.
According to the government's decision, the TEC will have to be operational after 3 years, while this period includes obtaining a building permit and its construction. This project has been opposed by residents of the area, due to its proximity to agricultural lands.
