At the other end of the scale, price pressures remain much lower. Sweden recorded inflation of just 0.3%, Switzerland 0.7% and the Czech Republic 1.3%, while in Denmark and Hungary the rate was 1.6%.

Compared to countries in the region, Albania had lower inflation than Kosovo, Montenegro with 3.9% and Croatia with 3.6%, but higher than North Macedonia with 2.4% and Serbia with 2.2%. Greece, with a rate of 2.7%, also performed below Albania's level.

July data show that price growth in Albania continues to be stronger than the European Union average, although the difference is limited. At the same time, the gap between European countries remains large, with rates ranging from 0.3% in Sweden to 8.2% in Romania.
