Soft loan for farmers changes, Deputy Minister Guri: Intervention for the duration of the limit fund

The government is planning changes to the Soft Loan scheme for farmers, which is one of the financial instruments in support of agribusiness. Everything was announced during the Diaspora Summit, in the panel "From food to table, the role of the Albanian diaspora in strengthening the links that connect agricultural production to the table".
"Very soon, some changes will be made to the Decision of the Council of Ministers to expand the elements of the loan, the duration, the fund limit, and so on. You just need to go to second-tier banks and ask for support or a loan with a sovereign guarantee loan, and they should offer you a loan with a 2% interest rate," said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Fatmir Guri.
In parallel, Guri also announced legal improvements in the direction of agritourism, as a response to entrepreneurs in this sector, who raised questions about what they receive in return, as they support farmers by purchasing the products they produce.
"We are having a discussion with you, precisely about legal improvements and acts regarding agrotourism. Of course, what we build together in terms of final acts is, I believe, the most important element that agrotourism can benefit from. I believe that beyond the direct, immediate benefit, it is very, very important to build and, let's say, stabilize once and for all what the name 'agrotourism' is and who should maintain agrotourism, it is, so to speak, one of the benefits", - said Guri.
During the discussions, the attendees brought their experiences and the obstacles they encounter in Albania, while requesting more logistical support to transfer the expertise gained abroad to our country.
