Karakaçi signs agreement with Switzerland: Project for assessing damage to buildings after disasters
The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, held a meeting with the Swiss Ambassador to Albania, Ruth Huber, where the Agreement for the Building Damage Assessment Project was signed.
The project will be implemented by the Construction Institute with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, in coordination with the National Civil Protection Agency.
According to the minister, the agreement aims to strengthen the national system for assessing damage to buildings, through the unification of technical standards, professional training and increased institutional cooperation in emergency situations.
The project also focuses on increasing technical capacities and professional expertise, with the aim of improving public safety, building sustainability, and response to natural disasters.
