The average gross monthly salary for salaried employees in Albania reached 83,300 lek during the third quarter of 2025. This figure represents an increase of 7.3%, compared to the same period in 2024, confirming the continuation of the positive trend in the labor market.
The sectors with the highest salaries remain finance and insurance, information and communication, as well as public administration, education, health and social services. Also above the national average are real estate activities, as well as technical, scientific professions and support services. The highest increase was recorded in the Construction sector, with a strong increase of 12.8%, while the lowest was recorded in administration and public services, where the salary increased by only 3%.
There are also noticeable changes in professions. Managers, legislators, executive directors, specialists with higher education, the armed forces and technicians are paid above the national average. The most significant increases were recorded among craftsmen and artisans, by 10.7%, and among workers in elementary professions, by 10.6%. Meanwhile, the lowest increase was recorded among specialists with higher education, by about 5.5%.
Compared to a year ago, there is a decrease in the number of employees with minimum wage, but compared to the second quarter, the weight has increased. Meanwhile, the category of employees receiving medium and high wages has increased. This shift suggests a more balanced distribution of income and a wage structure more oriented towards medium and high levels.
