Which region has the most agricultural vehicles? Fier and Korça lead, Dibra and Kukës have the lowest number
For 2024, Albania marks a significant increase in the use of mechanical tools for agriculture, with a total of 34 thousand units, including tractors, minitractors, seeders and harvesters. "Scan Intel" has brought a detailed overview divided by regions, which shows the dynamics of the agricultural sector throughout the country and the developments taking place in the territory.
In terms of the spread of mechanical vehicles, Fier and Korça are the two regions that occupy the first place in the number of vehicles. Fier, a region with a rich agricultural history, has registered 3,141 wheeled tractors and 1,354 minitractors, which positions it as one of the most developed regions in the field of agriculture. Korça is also one of the high-performing regions, with 1,624 tractors and 1,223 minitractors, highlighting the strength of the agricultural sector in this region.
Meanwhile, the Dibër and Kukës regions register lower numbers of agricultural vehicles. Dibër has only 321 wheeled tractors and only 49 minitractors, while Kukës is lower with only 313 tractors and 164 minitractors. These data may reflect a more limited use of mechanization compared to other regions, perhaps due to different geographical conditions and more limited infrastructure.
At the national level, wheeled tractors are the most common agricultural implements, with a total of 10,632 units registered throughout Albania. Planters and minitractors also make up a significant portion of agricultural mechanical equipment, with 4,362 planters and 6,168 minitractors serving in agricultural fields.
