"Provide tax invoices for every product you sell" - Appeal of the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, to retail traders
The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, visited two businesses in the city of Lushnja, as part of the action to formalize the agricultural products market and improve food safety.
Minister Malaj emphasized the importance that every sale by retail traders of agricultural and livestock products, such as dairy products or meat products, must be accompanied by a fiscal invoice.
The trade of these products through the accompaniment of a fiscal invoice, the minister emphasized, serves not only to formalize the market, but also to guarantee food safety for Albanian consumers.
"It is very important that all retailers understand that every product they sell, whether dairy products, meat products or by-products, will have to be accompanied by a fiscal invoice. This is not only in the context of market formalization, but also in the context of food safety. It must be understood that through the invoice we are able to trace the product from the farm, to the trader and to the consumer's table. I call on all retailers to start and secure their purchase invoices for every item they purchase, in order to not only formalize their activity, but also ensure and guarantee food safety for Albanian consumers", said the Minister.
The Minister of Finance emphasized that all retail entities must be made aware of legal obligations, which must be implemented fairly.
