WIFI and smart boards in all schools - Measures, within the framework of the objective for digital education. The implementation will be carried out in phases
High-speed internet and interactive whiteboards (smartboards) in all schools and higher education institutions. To achieve the digital transformation of education in Albania and the establishment of other intelligent laboratories, every school and university must first have high-speed WIFI.
The Ministry of Education and Sports aims to continue expanding broadband connectivity in schools and universities to enable seamless digital education and learning. Also, as part of the European Union's Growth and Reform Programme, the government has committed to connecting 95% of public schools with a high-speed internet connection by the end of 2025.
Meanwhile, it is planned to equip every classroom in public schools with an interactive whiteboard (smartboard). These devices are an essential part of Smart Labs and will be used to enable interactive and multimedia teaching.
Interactive whiteboards will facilitate dynamic presentation of content, real-time exercises, and active student involvement in the learning process. The devices will integrate with existing computers, new ones, and digital learning platforms in use.
The implementation will be carried out in phases and will be accompanied by structured training for teachers in the pedagogical use of smartboards, in order to improve learning outcomes and the digital preparation of the new generation.
These measures will be taken within the framework of the Digital Education Action Plan 2025-2030, for the implementation of which, the government, in cooperation with other international donors, will spend about 6.4 billion lek.
