Albania's participation in the Peace Board, a historic moment. Rama also

In the weekly podcast "Flasim", Prime Minister Edi Rama focused on the meeting of the Peace Board in Washington, D.C., earlier this week. Rama said that Albania's participation as a founding member was a very important moment.

"The visit to Washington for the inaugural meeting of the Peace Board was undoubtedly the most special moment of this week. Albania proudly sat at a table where a new chapter in the global architecture is being opened, as a founding member of the Peace Board ," said Rama.

The Prime Minister also focused on the echoes of his speech in defense of Hashim Thaçi and the liberators of Kosovo. "I am of course pleased with the echoes of the speech I delivered on behalf of Albania, where I also confirmed our country's participation in the international stabilization force in Gaza, but above all, I conveyed to the world our national concern about the incredible masquerade of International Justice in The Hague, towards Hashim Thaçi and the liberators of Kosovo," declared the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Rama also focused on the draft resolution published by the European Parliament for our country, which according to him is an assessment of Albania's progress. "That document assesses the opening of all group chapters within 13 months, which constitutes a record in the history of European integrations and in the meantime emphasizes the rapid and significant pace in the negotiation process, underlining our ambition to close the negotiations within 2027, highlighting progress in strengthening democratic institutions, the rule of law, socio-economic reform, environmental policies, regional cooperation and compliance with the EU's common foreign and security policy," said Rama.

At the end of his speech, Rama announced that this week the first transfer of 167 million euros from the state budget surplus was made to the Special Pension Fund at the Bank of Albania. The Prime Minister also welcomed the increase in salaries for around 720 State Police officers, who serve on the front lines of dealing with the highest risk. “ An inspector at RENEA will now be paid around 1,600 euros, while a manager in this structure will reach around 2,300 euros. For operational forces, the salary of an inspector will be around 1,200 euros, while for a chief commissioner between 1,600 and 1,700 euros ,” the Prime Minister said.
