Attention to the environment, decisions and draft laws approved at today's government meeting
The Media and Information Agency has distributed the announcement of the decisions and draft laws approved at today's government meeting, dated 02.09.2026. According to this announcement, the Council of Ministers approved:
-List of activities considered hazardous to the environment.
-Decision "On the approval of the criteria based on which the assessment of the potential threat and the determination of environmental damage is made".
-Decision “On some changes and additions to decision No. 716, dated 26.11.2025, of the Council of Ministers, 'On the declaration of some priority areas for the development of the mountain economy in the Municipality of Shijak'”.
-Decision “On some amendments to decision No. 181, dated 30.3.2022, of the Council of Ministers, “On the use of the reconstruction fund for financing the reinforcement of individual housing units and housing units in buildings (palaces) in the municipalities of Tirana, Durrës, Shijak, Lezhë and Krujë”, as amended.
-Decision "On determining the criteria for awarding the Public Order Service Medal".
Several draft laws were also approved at the same time:
-“On the ratification of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania for the elimination of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and on capital and for the prevention and avoidance of fiscal evasion, as well as its protocol”.
-“On the ratification of the protocol amending the agreement of April 6, 2010, between the Republic of Albania and the Federal Republic of Germany, for the avoidance of double taxation and fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital, ratified by law no. 10 287, dated 10.6.2010”.
-“On some amendments and additions to Law No. 66/2023, “On the administration of confiscated buildings as unauthorized constructions, with the aim of using them for public interest or social housing, as well as mitigating the social consequences caused”.
