3.3 million transactions in the bank's cash register - BoA: Businesses made the main contribution to the increase in value to 117 billion lekë

Cash registers continue to be one of the ways through which businesses and individuals carry out a large number of financial transactions. In the first six months of the year alone, over 3.3 million transactions were carried out through cash registers, with a total value of around 117 billion lek. The data shows that the second quarter was more active, especially in terms of the amount of money moved.
In the first three months, businesses and individuals carried out about 1.7 million transactions through the cash register. In the second quarter, the number increased slightly. So, it is not a big change in the number of transactions.
The change is most noticeable when we look at the value of money. In the second quarter, about 12% more money was transacted through the cash register than in the first quarter. In other words, within just three months, the value of money that passed through the cash register increased significantly, even though the number of transactions changed very little. This growth has been driven mainly by businesses. They have carried out more transactions and, above all, have moved larger amounts of money.
Meanwhile, among individuals, the number of transactions has marked a slight decrease in the second quarter, but their value has increased. So here too we have fewer actions, but with somewhat higher amounts.
During the first half of the year, millions of transactions were carried out at the cash register and over 100 billion lek were transferred there. And what is most striking is that the increase does not come so much from the number of transactions, but from the amount of money circulating through them. So, in the second quarter, the cash register was used a little more, but above all it was used to move more money.
