"Electric trains coming in 2027" - Tirana-Durrës-Rinas Railway, construction of stations begins
"The construction of the Tirana-Durrës-Rinas railway line will be completed next year, while the electrification and arrival of trains for the start of operations is intended to be completed in the first quarter of 2027."
Everything was revealed during the inspection of the construction works for the stations of this railway line, by the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, and the head of the Albanian Railways, Ergys Verdho.
Balluku also focused on projects that are intended to start next year with internal financing.
The Tirana - Durrës - Rinas railway will have 7 stations, which are: Tirana Train Station, Kashari, Vora, Sukthi, Shkozeti, Durrës, "Epoka" University and Rinas. Meanwhile, according to Balluku, one of the priorities should be to build the capacities of human resources, which will be needed for the management of the sector in the coming years.
