Tourism, with a positive balance/ 38.2% increase in nights spent in accommodation structures
Tourism in Albania is experiencing continuous development, attracting an increasing number of visitors from the region, Europe and various countries around the world. The latest data published by INSTAT for June 2025 show a significant increase in both the number of tourists and the number of nights spent in accommodation structures, compared to the same period last year.
In total, the number of visitors entering the country increased by 37.2%, reaching around 501 thousand people, including both domestic and foreign tourists. The number of resident visitors increased by 38%, while that of foreign visitors increased by 38.3%. In terms of nights of stay, the increase was 38.2%.
During this month, coastal destinations were the most popular, with a 35% increase in hotel and similar structure bookings. The central region received more tourists than other areas of the country.
Among the countries from which foreign tourists came, Kosovo constituted the largest group with 19% of the total. They were followed by Italian tourists with 13%, Poles with 8%, as well as Germans and French who contributed with 8% and 6% respectively.
Another important trend is the significant increase in visitors from other European countries, who represented 44% of foreign tourists in Albania during this period.
