Public transport/ 116 entities benefit from around 120 million lek in compensation

The Tax Administration announces that in support of public transport operators, it has realized 100% of the allocated fund of 119.7 million lek, to compensate for the increase in fuel prices.
According to the General Directorate of Taxes, 116 entities have benefited from the compensation scheme, as part of the support measures for the public transport sector.
The scheme aims to ease the burden of expenses for operators, in the face of rising operating costs, by providing financial support to cover the price of fuel.

The Tax Administration estimates that the measure aims to support public transport operators and contribute to the continuity of service to citizens.
Taxes clarify that the fund of 119.7 million lek does not include compensation for companies operating urban lines in Tirana, as compensation for these entities is covered by the Municipality of Tirana.
