Maritime transport from Durrës, 350 thousand passengers entered and exited in 7 months
The Port of Durres marks another increase in passenger transport figures. According to an announcement on the social networks of the Durres Port Authority, “About 350 thousand passengers have chosen the sea route between the Port of Durres and Italian ports during the first 7 months of this year, an increase of 4% compared to the same period in 2024.”
In detailing the figures, it is said that at the entrance to the country, "195,310 passengers were registered, while 157,229 passengers chose the Durrës-Italy ferries to travel abroad. In a broader perspective, taking into account the period July 2024 - July 2025, passenger traffic has marked a cumulative increase of 6%, confirming the important role of the Port of Durrës as an important entry point for tourists and visitors who choose Albania."
The Port of Durres is the country's main gateway for goods and people. It processes about 90 percent of the country's trade volume.
