Tirana, the Municipal Council adds 78 soft loans for housing
The Tirana Municipal Council, in its last meeting, approved the increase in the number of families benefiting from the loan interest subsidy program. The acting Mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, announced that after administrative appeals, 78 other families have been included, who now benefit from soft housing loans. “The draft decision comes as the next important act in the function of implementing our commitments for the recovery after the earthquake of November 26, 2019 and guaranteeing housing for citizens affected by this natural disaster. The draft decision has been drafted in full compliance with the legal and sub-legal framework in force and has gone through all the links of the institutional process in a structured manner, starting from the review of applications, verification of documentation and analysis of cases with court decisions or changes in technical conditions in the field”, said Ristani.
The meeting also approved the draft decision on subsidizing rent for some families in need who cannot afford the free market. The Municipal Council also approved the 2025–2027 Social Plan for the Municipality of Tirana.
