Attempted robbery of Fibank branch/ 58-year-old enters unmasked with Kalashnikov, shoots on the floor. No injuries
A person attempted to rob the Fibank branch in the Delijorgji area. Completely unmasked and armed with a Kalashnikov, the perpetrator entered the bank premises with a bag in which he planned to put money.
After firing a single shot with a Kalashnikov at the floor, police arrived at the scene, arrested the perpetrator, and seized the firearm. Fortunately, no one was injured and the perpetrator failed to steal the money from the bank.
According to the Police announcement, "at around 11:15, on Kavaja Street, citizen BF, around 58 years old, is suspected of having entered the premises of a bank, with the intention of robbing it, by shooting with a firearm, on the floor. No citizens were injured from the shooting. Police services intervened immediately after receiving the notification and made it possible to capture the suspected perpetrator in an attempt to leave the scene of the incident. The suspected perpetrator was escorted to the Police Station. The firearm was also seized."
Police say they will provide full information about the incident after the investigation is complete.
