"Let's become a country that acts as if it were a member" - Rama, at the Governance Conference: Travel to the EU is important

At the International Conference on Governance, Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the panel discussion on Albania's perspective in the integration process, stated that for us as a nation, the journey towards the European Union is important.
"I have always said, there has been no doubt that for us, the process is just as important, if not more important, than the result, that of being states, EU member states, so the journey is what we need, because if we become a country that operates institutionally, as a member state of the European Union, this could be the greatest legacy we can give to our children, to grow up and live in a country where institutions function."
Among other things, Rama spoke about the model that has been created to accelerate the process in less than two years.
“We have already created a model that works for us through artificial intelligence and what others did in seven years - it took Croatia seven years - we can do in less than two years and we are doing it very, very quickly. It would be impossible without technology. Or public procurement; we have made considerable progress and now we aim to have the first model in Europe of public procurement through artificial intelligence, which will be completely with artificial intelligence from A to Z and this will make public procurement absolutely transparent and will not be contestable at all.”
Rama underlined that we will succeed in this process through the system we have created and that in the future we will have the right to sell it.
