320 million lek for the electricity network in Shkodra - OSSH opens tenders, focusing on improving the energy supply in Velipojë

With a limit fund of 321 million lek, the Distribution System Operator has opened two tender procedures, focusing on investing in improving the electricity network in the Shkodra region.
The majority of the funds will go to the Velipoja area, as an important tourist area in the country. For this project, the available fund is 204 million lek and focuses on the construction of a new 20 kV medium voltage line from the Velipoja substation to several supply cabins in the area, including the lagoon crossing.
The second project, worth 117 million lek, envisages the reconstruction of a segment of the existing F15 feeder network, as well as the construction of a new 20 kV feeder, F3, from the “Shkodra 2” substation. This investment will include a total of 14 electrical cabins, with a line length of over 11 km.
Earlier, OSHEE Group administrator Enea Karakaçi announced that investments in the electricity distribution system amount to 70-80 million euros per year. According to him, with the funds available, it is intended that each region be covered with investments, while recently a special focus has been on tourist areas, aiming to improve the quality of energy supply.
