Funds for vocational training increased - Budget 2026, 1.3 billion lek

For the labor market, the 2026 draft budget foresees a fund of about 1.3 billion lek for investments over a three-year period. The Central Directorate of the National Employment and Skills Agency will administer this entire budget, which will cover both ongoing projects and new initiatives in the field of employment and vocational training.

One of the main projects envisaged is the construction of the Vocational Training Center campus, an ongoing project with a total investment value of 185 million and 800 thousand lekë. For the current year, 70 million and 800 thousand lekë are planned, while for 2026 the budget reaches 115,000 lekë, with the aim of completing the project in full by that period.

In the next three years, investments will also focus on reconstructions of office premises, as well as more innovative equipment and information technology, with a total fund of around 235 million lek.

The government's focus on vocational training has increased significantly over the past year, spurring growing interest, especially among young people. In this context, the draft budget also foresees investments for the establishment of vocational training cabinets over a three-year period, with a total value of 28 million lek. For 2027 alone, 10 million lek are foreseen, while for 2028, 18 million lek are foreseen, aiming to improve teaching conditions and equip vocational courses with contemporary standards.

These investments are expected to strengthen the country's vocational training infrastructure and increase employment opportunities, especially for young people seeking practical skills required by the modern labor market.
