100% of electoral envelopes distributed in the Diaspora - Celibashi: In Vora and unit 10 in Tirana, electronic voting testing begins
The delivery of 100% of electoral envelopes for all those emigrants who work and live outside Albania, but want to participate in this year's parliamentary elections through voting, has been completed, while the head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, has provided the figures as of noon today.
"We are in the process of distributing and delivering these envelopes to voters. So far, 154,770 voters have received the envelopes, or 62% of registered voters who have received the electoral documentation. They have arrived at the CEC so far and 190,025 have been processed, but by the end of the day, because we know how many envelopes the DHL service has delivered, there will be around 22,000."
Stand up
But to focus on voting within the country, electronic voting centers have been set up in Vora and in unit 10 in Tirana, while Chief Commissioner Celibashi informs citizens that they can go to get their tests done.
"First of all, what concerns electronic voting in Vora and Unit No. 10, as of today, in four points of unit No. 10 in Tirana and in two points of the Municipality of Vora, we have set up voter information centers in which voters, as well as representatives of political parties and anyone else interested, but mainly voters of these two units, can go and try out the electronic voting devices that will be used on election day. We will do this until May 11, there are 4 centers that are actually mobile for unit 10, and two that are also mobile for the municipality of Vora."
