The government proposes the "Fiscal Peace" package - Rama: It is not an electoral program. We will reduce the informational burden
The Chairman of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, presented the "Fiscal Peace" package during a conversation with business representatives in Elbasan.
"It is not an electoral program. We will continue the work and this is part of our plans. We must enter a new phase of fiscal peace and comprehensively implement what the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Finance have done in the tourism sector. We are very aware that there is a high level of informality, as on the one hand we have an increase in the number of tourists, but on the other hand we do not have a similar increase in hotel declarations."
Meanwhile, the "Fiscal Peace" package will be based on three main components.
"Fiscal Peace has three main components. The first is the agreed tax on profit. The second component is the review of financial statements, and the third is the forgiveness of tax liabilities and interest on arrears. Businesses will be exempt from tax control during the agreement period. We will give businesses the opportunity to pay the full obligation, to benefit from the forgiveness of fines and interest on arrears ," said Minister Ibrahimaj.
Rama also added that work is being done with the Ministry of Finance and the National Agency for the Administration of Taxes and Revenues on an advanced process in revenue administration, where fiscalization will be transferred to artificial intelligence.
