Agriculture, towards international standards - National Scheme 2025 supports

Albanian farmers will be offered support for GLOBAL GAP certification to increase production standards. The National Agricultural Support Scheme for 2025 offers subsidies for GLOBAL GAP certification.

The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development announces that potential beneficiaries of the support measures may be individual farmers, SHBB, natural or legal persons.

The benefit amount for individual certification will be 50% of the total value of the tax invoice, up to 175,000 lek, for an area of ​​no less than 1 hectare. Meanwhile, the benefit amount for farmer group certification will be up to 500,000 lek, for farmer groups of 10 members with an area of ​​no less than 3 ha in protected areas and no less than 10 ha in open fields.

On the other hand, the support measure will be up to 700,000 lek for farmer groups of 20 members, with an area of ​​no less than 15 ha in protected areas and no less than 30 ha in open fields.

The call for applications for the 8 support measures of the National Agriculture Scheme 2025 remains open until May 30.

Meanwhile, the AZHBR announces that for certified organic farms the value of support is 200,000 lek. Organic farms, for the first year, benefit from financing worth 100,000 lek, in the second year 150,000 lek and 200,000 lek for a certified farm.

Organic farms are certified with Global GAP and operate in the production sector of honey, vegetables, medicinal plants, etc. Organic agriculture in Albania is developing more and more, bringing quality products to the market.
