New electrical network in Radhimë - Orikum - Quality of energy supply in tourist areas, investment 5.3 million euros
About 5.3 million euros is the value of the investment that will be carried out in the Radhimë - Orikum tourist area to increase the quality of electricity supply. The Regional Directorate of OSHEE in Vlora has concluded the contract for the open tender in September of this year, while the works will include the development of 20kV medium voltage lines, electric cabins and low voltage lines with ABC conductors, for feeders O1 and O2 from the Orikum substation.
These interventions are expected to affect the improvement of the quality of supply for the entire area of Radhima, which is one of the tourist areas in the country.
During this year, the Distribution System Operator started the implementation of the investment plan in the tourist areas of the country, based on the increase in the flow of tourists, which also increases the demand for energy. Investments are focused not only on the coastal, but also the mountainous part of the country, considering the tourist potential that these areas offer.
This is the first year after the pandemic and the energy crisis, that the Distribution System Operator, part of OSHEE Group, has adopted a real investment plan.
Meanwhile, the investment in the electrical network not only increases the security of energy supply, but at the same time it affects the reduction of technical losses, which come as a result of the amortization of the network.
