Rama visits NATO's Cyber Center of Excellence in Estonia: Albania joins as of today

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his visit to Estonia, together with the Albanian delegation, visited the NATO Center of Excellence for Cooperative Cyber Defense, where he met with the leaders of the center and was introduced to its activity and role in strengthening cyber defense within NATO.
Through a post on social networks, Rama emphasized that as of yesterday, Albania "is a member of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (NATO CCDCOE), one of the Alliance's most important structures for cybersecurity and protection against digital threats."
According to the head of government, "the center represents a platform for cooperation and expertise among NATO allied countries for the development of strategies, training and capacities in the field of cyber defense."
Albania's membership was formalized during the flag-raising ceremony at the CCDCOE headquarters, where our country joined the center along with Finland and Sweden, bringing the number of member and partner countries of this international network of expertise in cyber defense to 39.
This development represents an important step for Albania in strengthening national capacities in the field of cyber security and defense, as well as in deepening cooperation with NATO allies and international partners in confronting threats and challenges in cyberspace.
Participation in CCDCOE creates opportunities for Albania to exchange expertise, engage in strategic research and analysis, participate in international training and exercises, and collaborate more closely with experts and specialized institutions from allied and partner countries.
Established in 2008 and accredited by NATO, CCDCOE is one of the most important international centers in the field of cyber defense, focused on scientific research, strategic analysis, professional training and the development of best practices for strengthening cyber resilience. The center also organizes Locked Shields, the world's largest and most complex cyber defense exercise.
This membership further strengthens Albania's position in the international cybersecurity ecosystem and increases cooperation with key NATO structures and experts in this field.
