Budget revenues, Minister Petrit Malaj: Increase by 1.2 billion euros compared to 2024

The objective of the Ministry of Finance is for this year's budget revenues to increase by 1.2 billion euros, compared to 2024. This objective was mentioned by the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, in a video post that he shared on social networks. According to Minister Malaj, the entire amount collected from the increase will go as financing for new public investments and new social services. In his post, Minister Malaj states: Public revenues in the last 3 years have increased by 31 percent. This shows sustainable economic growth but also the formalization of the Albanian economy. To be more specific, in the first 7 months of this year, revenues have increased by about 515 million euros more compared to 2025. Our goal is to increase public revenues by 1.2 billion euros more compared to 2024 by the end of the year. This is money that will go to build more schools, more health centers and hospitals, more subsidies in agriculture, or to provide new services as well as to improve existing services.
