Rama: Additional 100 million euros for pensioners in 2026, in addition to indexation
In a video message, a few minutes after receiving the European Commission's progress report on Albania and the press conference with the EU Ambassador, Silvio Gonzato, Rama stated that the lion's share of the 2026 draft budget, which has just been submitted to parliament, is taken up by pensioners, for whom next year began with an additional 100 million euros in addition to indexation.
"In 2027, we double the additional 200 million euros, plus 45 million euros in indexation," Rama emphasized.
"In 2028, we triple it to 300 million euros, plus indexation of 46 million euros. In 2029, we quadruple it to 400 million euros, plus indexation of 47 million euros, and in 2030, we quintuple it to 500 million euros, plus indexation of 48 million euros," Rama said.
"So there are about 1.7 billion euros more that pensioners will receive back from their investment for our fourth governing mandate," Rama emphasized.
