"New vacation spots are being sought" - Mançka: Package prices have increased, but demand remains constant
Shortly before the start of the summer tourist season, Albanian citizens have begun booking tourist packages, preferring to vacation in new places, besides the traditional Greece and Turkey.
Travel agencies report an increase in the prices of tourist packages this year compared to last year, by about 25–30%.
Growth that is also supported by Eurostat reports or by Greek and Turkish media about resorts in their countries.
The same trend is being followed for domestic packages, where it is being seen - as happened last year - that in the south of the country the prices of tourist services are expected to increase.
According to data from the Institute of Statistics, 7.8 million departures from the country's territory were recorded last year, mainly for holidays, marking the highest level ever.
