What does the Blue Card offer to the "brain" of Albania? - Muça: It has created all the elements for an employee to leave
Not only during the tourist season, but also throughout the year, Albania is facing a workforce crisis from year to year.
But, unlike the crisis of unskilled workers, the brain drain, that is, of skilled workers, is now becoming a serious problem. But Albanian skilled workers are being lured by the EU Blue Card.
"Considering that the Blue Card has created all the appropriate elements for an employee to leave, it has automatically become more sought after by employees," said Erion Muça, Employment Expert.
But what does this card offer to the "brain" of Albania?
"It is understood that the Blue Card provides a set of facilities and support that the state offers to all employees who go to Germany, but also to countries that have offered similar, attractive packages to employees from different countries in order to fulfill vacancies or needs. Each country will have to determine priority industries or sectors and a certain number of employees that these industries need and consequently, offer as many facilities as possible to attract or bring these employees closer from any country where they are located," he said.
The European Union Blue Card is a residence and work permit granted to citizens who come from countries that are not part of the European Union but who have high professional qualifications.
Among the professions that have priority are finance and accounting, medicine and medical sciences, information technology, engineering, etc.
