OSHEE, 855 million ALL from interest arrears - Collections for January -

Late settlement of electricity bills by consumers has increased the Electricity Distribution Operator's income.

According to official data, in the period January - October, this department collected about 855 million lek from interest arrears of families, businesses, budgetary and non-budgetary institutions.

In relation to the 10th month of last year, the amount collected from interest has decreased, given that for the same period last year, this department collected about 1.13 or about 270 million lek more than this year.

In total, for the 10-month period, the Electricity Distribution Operator generated 1,886,772 invoices, for which interest was collected.

According to the contract that OSHEE has signed with its clients, the deadline for settlement of invoices is the last day of the following month.

Meanwhile, non-payment of the monthly obligation within the specified period is accompanied by a late interest, which is calculated at the rate of 0.1% of the total bill, for each day of delay.

Then, in the event that the consumed energy continues to be unpaid, the contract provides for the escalation of penalties that go up to the interruption of electricity.

In total, for the 10-month period, OSHEE collected about 68 billion ALL.
