Operation against unauthorized constructions - Minister Koçiu in Farka: No one is above the law

The national operation to establish legality in the territory for those who build without a permit, beyond the permit, or for profit purposes, has begun and is expanding to areas around Tirana, where builders, supervisors, inspectors, who have violated the conditions of permits for expensive villas and buildings, will face administrative and criminal measures, as provided for by the legislation in force.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Albana Koçiu, inspected in Farka the action to block several buildings built in violation of permits, giving a clear message for the establishment of legality in the territory.
"I want to emphasize that this entire action comes in the wake of the package of legal measures that entered into force at the beginning of October, which aim to guarantee and implement concrete measures and sanctions. Here I have a call for all citizens who wish to purchase a property, to be very careful in verifying its legal status and to notify the competent authorities of any irregularities or abusive situations with the property. This is an action that will continue until the last day to guarantee legality and to protect the entire territory of the country from any type of abuse with public property," emphasized the Minister of Internal Affairs.
The action aims to establish order and discipline in the territory, protect public property, and guarantee sustainable development.
"No one who has a building permit or goes beyond the building permit will be allowed to benefit from any square meter beyond the permit granted. I want to appeal to all those who build or sell buildings that they will not be able to benefit from any square meter occupied unjustly and illegally," the Minister added.
This operation is part of a broader process that has been underway for months to free up public spaces and will be followed by a national action against unauthorized construction throughout the country. According to Minister Koçiu, all measures are being implemented on the basis of the latest legal package, which strengthens the mechanisms of territorial control and sanctions against any abuse.
