Muzhaqi: Record number of applications in the National Internship Program
The National Internship Program saw an extraordinary surge in interest this year, with 3,314 young people applying, the highest number of applications in the last ten years. This record reflects the trust of the younger generation in institutions and the importance the program has gained as a springboard to the job market.
For the Minister of Youth and Children, Bora Muzhaqi, this is a clear indication that the program's redesign has worked. "The applications are more numerous, of higher quality and the competition is stronger than every year. Now, all institutions will make the assessments and within 10 days the successful applicants will be notified. Thank you for the trust you have shown."
The Xth Call of the National Internship Program gives the green light to 600 young people between 21 and 29 years old who have completed their bachelor's or master's degree to carry out their internship in public administration, benefiting from dedicated training from the Albanian School of Public Administration as well as financial compensation for expenses during the internship. The best 250 will benefit from a 1-year employment contract at the institution where they will carry out the internship.
The selected young people will have the opportunity to engage for a 3-month period in the administration, gaining direct work experience in 227 public institutions, according to their field of study, as well as participating in dedicated trainings by the Albanian School of Public Administration.
