At the Investment Forum, Ursula Von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, said that the time to invest in the Western Balkans is now.
"Edi, I remember when you first told me that you wanted Albania to become part of SEPA. We told you that it was a very ambitious objective and it would take a long time to achieve it. But in less than 2 years, you made it possible. SEPA will save 500 million euros every year. The countries that have joined the Union have experienced a dizzying economic growth. Poland's economy tripled. The same will happen with the Western Balkans. The goal of the Economic Growth Plan is to double GDP.
Don't let this opportunity pass you by, the time to invest in the Western Balkans is now. We will sign 10 important business agreements. Local companies will grow together with those of the EU."
