New chapter for civil emergencies, Vengu: Part of the transformation is innovation and technology
Prime Minister Edi Rama and Ministers Vengu, Kociu and Demo are presenting this Saturday the launch of a new chapter on civil emergencies.
According to Ministers Vengu and Koçiu, innovation and technology will be part of the transformation of civil protection.
Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, said that the new civil protection strategy will focus on three main pillars.
"Within the framework of the Albania 2030 program, we have a chapter dedicated to civil protection. The program foresees 3 main pillars. The first, human capital and the way we strengthen the response chain starting from the municipal element and the creation of regional emergency centers. Innovation that must become a task in every cell of crisis management from the point of view of thermal cameras. Another lesson was the management of emergencies in Llogara and it was technology that gave us the opportunity to cope with difficult situations. All of this cannot happen without putting into effect all the financial instruments dedicated to municipalities", he said.
