EU Integration, Chapter 4 opens Kos: Reforms are not easy, but we expect results. Rama: We have a place in Europe

Albania held the 6th Intergovernmental Conference with the EU in Brussels, opening negotiations for Chapter 4 “Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity”. This chapter includes key areas such as green transition, environmental protection, clean energy, sustainable transport connectivity, which are at the heart of the European Green Deal and the EU’s strategic priorities. At the joint conference of Prime Minister Edi Rama with Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Marie Bjerre, Minister for European Affairs, emphasis was placed on the progress made so far with the opening of the chapters, although the reforms that will need to be undertaken are not easy.
Meanwhile, Kos emphasized that results are now expected, so that our country will be able to conclude the negotiations in 2027.
In his speech, Rama considered Chapter 27 on the environment and climate change, which is part of this group of chapters, one of the most difficult. For this reason, according to him, the new government structure has a ministry dedicated solely to this sector.
