Intergovernmental Conference in Brussels, Marta Kos: Our vision, closing the group chapters by the end of 2027
During the Enlargement Conference held today in Brussels, Marta Kos explained to the public that the vision is for these chapters to be successfully closed by the end of 2027.
"Albania must deliver results with reforms to be able to close the group chapters. The vision is to close them by the end of 2027, which means that at the moment we have this very diligent candidate, it is also our responsibility to support them," Kos emphasized.
Meanwhile, Marie Bjerre, Minister of European Affairs, from the Kingdom of Denmark, emphasized that these group chapters have been opened for Albania to move forward.
"We have opened 5 group chapters. We have done this because the administrative capacities are there for Albania to move forward," said Bjerre.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister emphasized that the priority is to reinvent ourselves as a nation, which is why even today there is a single ministry for the environment as it is an extremely difficult issue.
"The EU gives you the tools to reinvent yourself as a nation, as a country and as a state. In this process, I believe that the EU has helped us as a majority to reinvent ourselves and in these 2 years the challenge will be to reinvent ourselves by getting closer and closer to meeting the requirements. The environment today is an extremely difficult issue. The requirements are difficult even for the member states. That is why today we have a ministry only for the environment," said Rama.
