The session began at 08:00, with a joint press conference scheduled for 09:15. The meeting is co-chaired by Marie Bjerre, Minister for European Affairs of Denmark, the country holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU, and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
At the political level, the enlargement dossier is managed by the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, who has signaled that enlargement and overcoming bottlenecks will remain a priority of the current Commission.
