'Green Agenda' in negotiations with the EU, on the table: Transport policy, Energy, Trans-European Networks and Environment and climate change
Albania takes another step on its European path. In Brussels today, four more chapters, known as Chapter Group IV, are opened for negotiation. Part of this chapter group are: Transport Policy, Energy, Trans-European Networks and Environment and Climate Change.
These four chapters join 24 others opened in less than a year, a pace that Prime Minister Rama has described as an “absolute record” in the history of negotiations. So far, Albania has opened 4 out of 6 main groups of chapters: Fundamentals, External Relations, Internal Market and Competitiveness with Inclusive Growth.
The next intergovernmental conference, scheduled for October 2, will focus on the final chapter group “Agriculture and Cohesion.” The EU has expressed optimism that Albania can achieve full integration by 2030.
