Energy, new criteria for electronic devices - Klos's proposal: Lower bills and environmental benefits

Energy-intensive electronic devices placed on the market must meet eco-design requirements, which means that the devices are designed to have lower energy consumption and reduced environmental impact.
The legal changes were proposed by MP Ceno Klosi, and were discussed in parliamentary committees.
According to Klos, the implementation of this law will bring a number of benefits, ranging from reducing energy bills to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Among the requirements that may be imposed on these products are limiting energy consumption, more efficient use of resources, reducing hazardous materials, and increasing the reparability and recyclability of products.
The aim is for products to be designed taking into account the environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle, from production to use and treatment after the end of the product's life.
