Ervin Demo heads the Ministry of Interior, Lamallari becomes Prime Minister

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced a change in the leadership of the Ministry of Interior. Besfort Lamallari will be leaving the ministry, and Ervin Demo, who has until now held the position of minister responsible for local government, will be appointed in his place.
Rama announced the move by stating that the change is part of the reorganization of the government team.
"We have decided to make a move in the team that is on the field," said the Prime Minister.
According to Rama, Lamallari will continue his engagement in another position at the Prime Minister's Office.
Meanwhile, Ervin Demo will take over the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, where issues related to local government will also be integrated.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the inclusion of local government in the structure of the Ministry of Interior is not an unknown model for this institution, but the return of this field under the ministry comes after it had taken a separate form.
With the announced change, the Ministry of Interior will also have local government issues under the same management structure.
