The Transparency Board sets new prices for fuels, up to 220 lek/liter for diesel

The Transparency Board held its next meeting today, April 8, 2026, where it set new ceiling prices for the sale of fuels in the domestic market.
According to the decision, the retail price for the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should not be more than 220 lek per liter, while the wholesale price is set at no more than 208 lek per liter.
Meanwhile, for gasoline, the maximum retail price has been set at 181 lek per liter, while for wholesale at 169 lek per liter.
The Board announces that these prices come into effect immediately, starting at 3:30 PM today, and will remain in effect until the next meeting, when new possible market changes will be reflected.
The authorities call on all operators of wholesale and retail trade in petroleum by-products to strictly implement the decision taken. Otherwise, strict measures will be taken against violators, up to and including the suspension of activity.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, emphasizes that it remains committed to protecting consumer interests and ensuring fair competition in the fuel market.
